Caltiq carried out HVAC maintenance and corrective mechanical works at Cuddle Kutz, a children’s salon located at Porto Arabia, The Pearl, Doha.
The works focused on maintaining reliable FCU operation, improving cooling performance, and addressing issues associated with the chilled-water control system. The project was executed with particular attention to maintaining a comfortable indoor environment while minimizing disruption to the salon’s daily operations.
The HVAC works had to be carried out carefully within an operational children’s salon

equipment and chilled-water section isolated as required to minimize disruption to the
remaining HVAC system.
A defective 2-way valve can affect chilled-water flow and consequently reduce the
FCU’s ability to provide effective cooling.

Caltiq isolated the relevant chilled-water line, removed the faulty valve, installed the
replacement valve with the required connections, and restored the system following
completion.
Following valve replacement, the system required proper restoration and testing to
ensure reliable operation.

The chilled-water circuit was reinstated, connections were inspected for leakage, and
the FCU was tested to verify proper cooling operation and system performance.
The HVAC maintenance and corrective works were completed successfully, including FCU servicing and replacement of the faulty 2-way control valve.
The completed works helped restore reliable chilled-water control and support consistent FCU cooling performance, contributing to a comfortable indoor environment for the salon’s children, parents, and staff.
